Plus, plaque really sticks to teeth, and because of this, plaque scrapers have to be very sharp. So, it goes without saying, that if not used properly, there is a risk of causing severe damage your gum tissue. It could even cause gum recession. And when your gums become recessed, the sensitive roots of your teeth are exposed. There is also a chance that you could injure your tongue, cheeks, other soft tissues, get an infection, or even end up pushing tartar below your gum line.
